CALM took bold leadership in restoring Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s identity by installing clear, solar-powered signage atop both towers of Sabah’s premier hospital. Funded by the Sabah State Minister of Finance, the project ensures five-foot-high lettering aids emergency identification while honouring the hospital’s heritage significance. Built in 1957 with full British funding, QEH now proudly commemorates enduring ties between Sabah, Malaysia (formerly North Borneo) and the United Kingdom, celebrates the Commonwealth’s legacy, and inspires future generations to value public service and collaboration. The initiative received acknowledgement from Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal and was headed by CALM President Yap Li Ling.
