Leadership Term 2024 - 2026
Executive Committee

President’s Reflections
On the home front, Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar was installed as the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong in July 2024, symbolising continuity and unity. In 2025, Malaysia assumed the ASEAN Chairmanship with the theme “Inclusivity and Sustainability”, stepping into a visible regional leadership role.
Globally, wars, rapid advances in AI, and shifting power dynamics test stability, while civil society demands accountability, reminding us that leadership must adapt to constant change.
Within this context, CALM’s work has carried heightened relevance. We launched Research Resources in 2024, beginning with the Papers of Sir William Goode, and advanced heritage initiatives including the installation of Queen Elizabeth Hospital signage and the documentary From War Ruins to Medical Legacy. These projects honour Malaysia’s past while inspiring future generations. We also highlighted the role of AI and technology in shaping leadership for tomorrow, while gaining insights into Malaysia’s naval security and resilience.
Internationally, CALM hosted its first overseas programme, the CSC Leadership Pop-Up in Windsor, and joined the Presidential Council Dinner at Windsor Castle, strengthening Malaysia’s voice in the Commonwealth. We continue our work to build leadership, as it is more needed than ever. It is through leaders that positive change takes place, and through leadership that communities and nations, set aside our differences and find common ground for the greater good of humanity.
