Courtesy visit High Commission of Canada
8th May 2023 | Kuala Lumpur CALM paid a courtesy visit to the High Commission of Canada to introduce the Malaysian delegates attending the June 2023 Commonwealth Study Conference (CSC) in Canada. CALM and CSC Canada delegates were warmly received by Robert Bissette, Political Counsellor, who welcomed the exchange and reaffirmed the High Commission’s support for strengthening leadership and dialogue between Malaysia and Canada.


King Charles’s Coronation Celebration
6th May 2023 | Kuala Lumpur CALM President Li Ling witnessed the historic coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty The Queen Consort, televised live at the residence of the British High Commissioner, His Excellency Charles Hay, in Kuala Lumpur. This milestone occasion marked the continuity of the British monarchy and a shared moment in Commonwealth history.

23rd March 2023 | Kota Kinabalu CALM celebrated Commonwealth Day in Kota Kinabalu with a programme exploring North Borneo’s history and heritage. The Honorary British Consul for Sabah, Mr. Powell, read the King’s message on the theme “Forging a Sustainable and Peaceful Common Future.” Guest of Honour Datuk Christina Liew presented participants with Land Below the Wind by Agnes Keith, a fitting book for the occasion. CALM Fellowship
